To create a shallow depth of field, I made the f-stop t4. The ISO was 400 and the white balance was sunny. To create a large depth of field, the f-stop was t22. The ISO was 800 and the white balance was florescent. I think the second photo is better because the middle is in focus while the front and back people are not. You would use a shallow depth of field if you want to focus on one certain subject. A large depth of field would be better to use if you want a big picture where everything is in focus, like a landscape.
